John MacArthur explains six principles for the will of God. They are basic but applying them will clear up a lot of doubts. A more thorough treatment of the subject is given in Garry Friesen's book Decision-Making and the Will of God
This is an outstanding collection of prayers. It reflects deeply Biblical truths and helps me put myself in focus and pour out my heart to God.
The main idea is to let God be Lord over all aspects of our lives, even over our love life and the choice of a spouse. Let Him choose since He knows best. It doesn't fill in much detail in how God is supposed to indicate the spouse He has chosen for us. The main theme of seeking God's will for this choice and taking advantage of our time until then is good and worth the read of the book.
This book is about a "new" approach to getting to know someone for the purpose of marriage ("dating" or "courtship"). The emphasis is on passion guided by wisdom and letting emotions grow along with commitment and confidence in the future of the relationship.
